Unforgettable is book 16 in the Vino & Veritas series, a multi-author collection spin-off from Sarina Bowen's True North world. Marley Valentine is a new-to-me author. I love seeing more Australian writers becoming more popular, and I enjoyed this first taste of her writing.

Unforgettable is a low to low-medium angst story with a general feel-good vibe. By now, the world of Vino and Veritas is familiar and comfortable. Opening up a new book in this series and catching cameos of well known and loved characters is a bit like coming home. This is the perfect set-up to ensure that new characters are welcomed into the fold very quickly.

The author has developed two genuinely likeable characters in Oz and Reeve. Add in Oz's quirky family, and you have a cast guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face. Marley Valentine writes well, and she keeps you engaged throughout the story. I enjoyed the character flip, where Mr ‘never wants a relationship’ is the first to fall the hardest, and Mr ‘relationship only’ keeps pushing him away. Although Reeve’s mixed signals would put most people off, Oz had the patience of a saint!

Unforgettable is an excellent addition to the overall unique and unforgettable Vino & Veritas series. I enjoyed Marley Valentine's storytelling and character development. I'll certainly be checking out her backlist. I'd highly recommend Unforgettable to anyone looking for a relatively low angst, romantic story with plenty of humour to keep a smile on your face. It’s a perfect escapist weekend read.
